INFRARED SAUNAS

The sauna is relatively easy to assemble. The walls are secured with a spring or sliding buckle, and screws are used only for attaching the roof and floor strips. With two people, the assembly is straightforward. Ensure the sauna is placed on a flat, stable surface for proper alignment and functionality.
To clean your sauna, use a cloth dampened with a mild vinegar and water solution. We recommend placing towels on the seat and floor during use to maintain cleanliness and protect the wood from sweat damage.
To change the LED mood lighting: Press and hold the light button on the control panel until a code appears. Press the light button to scroll through color options. Wait 5-10 seconds without pressing any buttons to save your choice.
The optimal temperature range is between 42°C and 54°C, which is ideal for experiencing the therapeutic benefits of infrared saunas. However, personal preferences may vary.
No preheating is required. The panels emit infrared light immediately upon being turned on, allowing you to start your session right away.
The heater in the calf area is designed to use less power due to the smaller body mass in that region, helping to conserve energy. However, the sauna will still reach the set temperature, and your legs will continue to benefit from infrared light.
The red light heater emits both near and mid-infrared light. Adjusting the dial to the left emphasizes near-infrared (with a bright red glow), while turning it to the right focuses on mid-infrared (which may not be visible but is functioning). Setting the dial upward turns off the heater.
If you experience poor radio reception, adjust the long red wire extending from the control box on the roof. This wire serves as the radio antenna and moving it should improve signal clarity.
Exposure to heat and moisture can cause the wood to swell or shrink, leading to surface-level splits or gaps. This is normal. If you notice deep splits or have concerns, contact us for assistance.

TRADITIONAL SAUNAS

The sauna is relatively easy to assemble, with walls secured using a spring or sliding buckle. Screws are used to fix the roof and backrest but should not be overtightened. It’s recommended to use a drill on a low torque setting and avoid using an impact driver.
The sauna should be installed on a flat, stable surface to ensure the structure is level, which helps components fit together properly. You may also consider using rubber matting between the sauna and the floor for better insulation.
Clean the sauna using a cloth dampened with a mild vinegar and water solution. It’s good practice to place towels on the seat and floor during use to maintain cleanliness and protect the timber from sweat damage.
Before first use, rinse the stones with clean water. When placing stones in the heater, arrange them carefully without wedging them into the heating elements. Over time, stones disintegrate and should be replaced every 300 hours of use.
The heater has two dials: one for the power and countdown timer and one for the thermostat. The countdown timer can be set for specific hours, and the thermostat controls the desired temperature. Refer to the Harvia manual for detailed instructions.
For the first time, turn the heater on at the maximum temperature without stones, and let it run for 30 minutes. Then add the stones, and let the heater run for two hours to burn off any impurities. During this break-in process, be prepared for any cracking or chipping of the stones.
Mould prevention involves the "Bake & Breathe" method: Bake: After use, leave the heater on for 30 minutes with the door closed to eliminate moisture. Breathe: Then, leave the door open for 30 minutes to allow airflow and reduce dampness.
Additionally, wipe down high-traffic areas, remove damp items after each session, and keep the sauna well-ventilated.
Exposure to heat and moisture may cause the wood to swell, potentially affecting the door’s ability to close. Sanding the areas that catch or adjusting the hinges will resolve the issue.
The light is powered by the heater and cycles on and off as the heater operates. If you wish to control the light independently, consult a licensed electrician to modify the wiring.
Before first use, rinse the stones with water to remove dust. When placing them in the heater, do so gently to avoid damaging the elements. Over time, the stones may disintegrate, and we recommend replacing them every 300 hours of use. Perform a break-in process by heating the stones at maximum temperature for two hours during the first use.

BARREL SAUNAS

A flat, level surface is necessary for the sauna's foundation. We recommend using a concrete slab or pile foundation to support the weight of the sauna (up to 600 kg when assembled). Avoid placing it on soil or grass to prevent timber degradation
Ensure the sauna is positioned on a stable, flat surface. The base must be square and level to avoid assembly issues. You can use packing shims to adjust for any unevenness. Roof tiles should overlap in a honeycomb pattern, and silicone can be applied where the front and back panels meet the timber to prevent water accumulation
Oiling is required every 3-6 months to protect the external wood surfaces from UV damage and harsh weather. Use UV-protectant timber oil, such as linseed or teak oil. Do not apply oil to the interior surfaces.
Swelling or small splits may occur due to exposure to heat and moisture. This is normal. You can sand down areas where the door may catch or seal small gaps with high-temperature, waterproof silicone. If you notice deeper splits, contact us for further assistance.
After each use, wipe down surfaces with a cloth and a mild vinegar and water solution. Remove any damp items, such as towels or robes, to prevent moisture buildup. Regularly remove the floor panel to clean the bottom of the barrel and prevent condensation or dirt accumulation.
To treat mould:
Use a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution for disinfection. For mould in the wood grain, apply a paste of baking soda and warm water, then scrub gently.
If needed, sand the affected area with fine-grit sandpaper.
The heater has two dials:
Top dial: Controls the power and countdown timer. It can be set to run for a specified duration (1-4 or 1-8 hours).

Bottom dial: Adjusts the thermostat for your desired temperature. A reset button is available if the heater activates its overheat protection.
Accessories include a thermometer, sand timer, bucket, and ladle. Place the thermometer at head height, ensuring it's not above the heater. The bucket has a plastic insert to prevent water damage. Avoid leaving the ladle in a full bucket of water to preserve its condition.

ICE BATHS

Before starting, refer to the owner's manual available on the product listing or scan the QR code provided with your ice bath. Use the provided plumber’s tape and O-rings for all connections to prevent leaks.
It’s not necessary to keep the chiller running constantly. However, it’s recommended to operate it for 2-4 hours daily to ensure proper filtration and water circulation.
If the chiller doesn’t start and shows an error, it could be due to air in the system. Loosen the filter cup, drain the water for a few seconds, and reattach the hose to the filter. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
If your bath includes a timber handle, it’s designed as a towel rack and should not bear weight. Treat the timber every 3-6 months with oils like linseed or teak oil to preserve its longevity.
The chiller has two filters (steel and paper). Clean both filters regularly by rinsing them with fresh water. If the flow rate decreases, clean the steel filter and replace the paper filter as needed.
The ozonator sanitizes and purifies the water by releasing ozone (O3) every 15 minutes when the chiller is powered on. It helps reduce the need for chemicals like chlorine, making the water safe and clean.
No, the use of chemicals like chlorine will void the warranty. If the water temperature is kept above 12°C, replace the water regularly to prevent bacterial growth.
Regularly treat the timber with oils or stains every 3-6 months. Recommended treatments include linseed oil, teak oil, and outdoor wood sealant to protect against moisture and UV rays.
This may indicate that the filters are clogged. Check the steel and paper filters for buildup, clean or replace them as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Consult the product manual for troubleshooting or contact customer support if problems persist. Make sure to follow all maintenance guidelines to keep your bath in optimal condition.

TRADITIONAL HEATERS

Wash the stones with clean water before use, place them gently on top of each other in the heater, ensuring gaps for airflow. Avoid piling them above the heater elements.
Every 3 months, remove, wash, and knock the stones together to remove excess material. Reassemble as described above and replace stones when necessary.
The top dial controls the countdown timer, running the heater for a set number of hours. The bottom dial controls the thermostat to adjust temperature. Use the Harvia manual for further details.
Press the small reset button behind the dial to reset the heater if it has gone into overheat protection.
We calculate the volume of each room carefully in consultation with Harvia, producers of the heater. Harvia also have a Sauna Calculator that works out room volume and advises on the correct size heater - https://www.harvia.com/en/sauna/saunas/sauna-calculator/
